Prescott Public Library is opening two different displays October 1 that highlight local-interest subjects ranging from fiber arts to Central Highlands wildlife.
The Mountain Spinners and Weavers Guild will present an educational display showing part of the fiber process, from its source through the finished product. The display is scheduled in the library’s Viewerie A & B.
A second display, in Viewerie C, focuses on nocturnal animals of the Central Highlands. The library says the region is home to a variety of nocturnal species, including birds, mammals and insects.
The two displays offer very different ways to look at the local area: one through traditional fiber arts and craftsmanship, and the other through the wildlife that is active after dark.
Both displays are listed as all-day displays beginning October 1 at Prescott Public Library.
